Gravel, Donuts and BBQ
Frank and Karyn asked for country riding with culinary stops describing themselves as strong riders – 50 miles a day is possible they said. Their preference was for gravel and quiet roads without much traffic. They also wanted to eat really well and loved donuts and BBQ. Loving gravel ourselves, we transported the couple and their bikes to Lockhart well known for its BBQ and well known to us for its quiet, bucolic country roads. The TXBT culinary experience director created handmade donuts and banana nut bread for their SAG wagon nutrition. After almost 50 miles, the SAG wagon transported the guests, the guide and their bikes to Black’s BBQ in town to cap off the experience.
